Voodoo Six - Falling Knives EP
Voodoo Six have released a six track download only ep of songs to coincide with their current November/December UK tour, featuring three new songs and three re-recorded live favourites from First Hit For Free.
This band have a knack for writing catchy rock songs which is shown on the two cd releases to much critical acclaim, this collection has not let the catalogue down with some scorching riffs and blistering vocals.
The three new songs ‘Falling Knives’, ‘Sharp Sand’, ‘Stop’ are all in the classic rock vein of great riffs, awesome choruses and great grooves, the songs are recorded and produced in a way to give us that ‘live’ feel and the band do not let you down with the quality.
‘Falling Knives’ is the song that will get the radio play, it’s very infectious and will have you humming the tune after a play or two. While 'Sharp Sand’ and the wonderful ‘Stop’ will be excellent additions to the already impressive live set.
The re-recorded songs are given a good working over, funky guitar intro for one of my V6 favourites ‘One More Day’, always loved this track and I am pleased with the new recording of this, ‘Feed My Soul’ once again is a live favourite and its again the guitar subtleties that make it extremely pleasing to the ear, while ’No Friend Of Mine’ has the most noticeable differences to it with the obvious lower key setting and chorus structure.
Another top quality release from my favourite rock band Voodoo Six go out and buy it, it’s a KILLER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
