BCC , the rock group featuring the talents of Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian, release their first concert DVD & Blu ray LIVE OVER EUROPE at the end of October on Mascot Records throughout UK & Europe.
The 2-DVD/Blu-ray live set was filmed with 14HD cameras and 5.1 Surround Sound during the band’s debut tour in summer 2011. Over three nights playing to packed venues in the German cities of Hamburg, Munich and Berlin, the 18 song set list, consisting of 17 originals and 1 cover, includes songs taken from both of BCC’s albums.
Forging a sound not too dissimilar to Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, this is classic rock of the very highest calibre, which neatly incorporates itself into tracks such as ‘Save Me’ , 'Faithless' and ‘Sista Jane’, which features a quality drum and guitar ending of The Who’s ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’.
Other highlights for me personally in the top-notch set are the glorious ‘Cold’ which has got to be a contender for rock track of 2011, also featured is Joe’s penned masterpiece ‘Song Of Yesterday’. Finishing with a storming version of Deep Purple’s ‘Burn’, this DVD encapsulates the whole BCC concert experience.
The bonus disc features the ‘Forging BCC – The Making of Live Over Europe’ and two terrific photo collections from ace photographer Christie Goodwin.
